Makes Sense

Why Read It?

“I wish I had thought of this first.”

- Jim Kwik

Most of us aren’t reacting to reality—we’re reacting to our interpretation of it.
Makes Sense explores how that interpretation is formed and what becomes possible when we learn to pause and look again.

Makes Sense is about how we come to understand the world—and why we often feel stuck reacting to it. At the center of the book is what Dr. JC calls the Sense-Making Machine: the quiet, subconscious system shaped by past experiences, trauma, conditioning, and outside influence that filters how we see reality.

Most of us don’t realize this system is running in the background. When it goes unchecked, it can blur perspective, limit choice, and keep us cycling through overwhelm, indecision, and unrealized potential.

Drawing from his own lived experience, along with insights from neuroscience, psychology, and philosophy, Dr. JC introduces the IRS (Interface Response System)—a simple four-step process that helps readers step out of automatic reactions and into a more conscious way of living.
